Rutherford Technology High School

Year 10 student Ben Simon will soon be leaving Rutherford to embark on an exciting new career with the Essendon Bombers in Melbourne.    Ben will join the Bombers in January for pre-season training as part of a scholarship program worth $10,000 that goes towards education needs outside football and football specific development.

Ben, who only took up the sport with the Cardiff Hawks under16 team this year, has been signed under the new AFL/NSW scholarship program which allows AFL clubs to recruit up to two teenagers from NSW each year.

We all wish Ben every success in his new career and look forward to hearing of his achievements in coming years.
